MID-WEEK FISHING REPORT: DEC. 02 – 05, 2017 (2 ½ DAYS)
First day 6 anglers put under their belt a 20lb , 19lb, 18lb and three 17lb
Groups arriving last Saturday are now fishing in optimal water levels at the Xeruini and Jufaris rivers. The Weeler group of 7 anglers are mostly fly fishing and had a promising start landing 534 peacock bass in just 2 1/2 days. No rain and almost perfect water levels completed a blissful picture. Camp informs us that red/yellow bucktails are making a smash.
Meanwhile the Gungoll group at the Jufaris, mainly baitcasters, are also obtaining excellent yields with an average of 62 peacocks per boat per day and with trophies of 20lbs., 2 x 19 lbs, 1 x 18lbs and 3 x 17 lbs. on the first 2 1/2 days. Joao pepinos, perversas, choppers and jigs are quoted as the best working lures.
